Thomas Jefferson Warthen built this vernacular Greek Revival home which has the unusual feature of four front doors. The home is constructed of hand-hewn timbers of “fat pine” and has three back to back chimneys with fireplaces. The veranda of the home is tucked under the main slope of the roof. This plantation house has been maintained in its original state; modernization is confined to the rearmost rooms. It is listed on the National Register and is a Centennial Family Farm. Numerous outbuildings still stand and are in use today. Descendants of the original owner still live at Forest Grove.
